Bombino

Bombino arrives at the Brise Glace in Annecy on March 31, 2026. A Tuareg guitarist and singer from Niger, also known by his name Omara Moctar, he has forged a clear, incisive sound nourished by blues, rock and Saharan traditions. His songs in Tamasheq ride on sinuous riffs, a dry groove and straight-driving bass lines, with catchy backing vocals and breaks that let the music breathe. They address the road, exile, simple joys, and bonds that hold despite everything. The guitar carves out precise melodic motifs, alternating hypnotic pulses with sharper, more urgent phrases without losing the thread.

On stage, Bombino builds his pieces in layers, lets tension rise, opens measured spaces for improvisation, then tightens the whole to drive the tempo forward. The ballads leave a light dusting before the tempo returns, tighter and more percussive. No unnecessary effects—just direct, grounded music where tradition converses with electricity.
