On 15 March 2026, Le Ferrailleur in Nantes will bring together two psychedelic heavy rock acts: Mars Red Sky and Monkey3. Under their joint project Monkeys On Mars, the French trio and the Swiss quartet blend soaring atmospheres, clean vocals and thick rhythms with progressive breaks, hypnotic grooves and massive riffs. With Mars Red Sky, the airy voice and expansive fuzz open up wide sonic landscapes, while Monkey3 pushes instrumental progression and rhythmic trance. Conceived as a playground for their shared passion for science fiction, this cross-lineup yielded a self-titled EP released on 17 October 2025 on Mrs Red Sound.
On stage, the evening is structured in three parts: a Mars Red Sky set backed by Monkey3, then a Monkey3 set with Mars Red Sky in support, before a finale presented as Monkeys On Mars. The order of the first two may vary by date, but Monkeys On Mars always close. Performed consecutively, without pause, to allow the textures to answer one another from one act to the next.
