Laurie Wright, originally from the South West Midlands, plays guitar-driven rock ’n’ roll. He began playing guitar at 14, moved to London at 19, and has written more than 300 songs. His band formed in 2020 and began busking in Camden. In 2023 he released his debut album, Get On The End Of It, featuring tracks such as "West End Lover", "Butter Side Up Boy" and "Wendy McKenzie", drawing on influences like The Kinks and The Small Faces.
In 2024 the band wrote and recorded a second album while touring the UK and opening for The Rifles and The Libertines. They continued their busking sessions in Camden Town and around London. We’re Only Warming Up, their second album, was released in autumn 2024. In November the band played the Scala in King’s Cross, then embarked on a 14-date European tour.
