Folk Bitch Trio — Gracie Sinclair (she), Jeanie Pilkington (she) and Heide Peverelle (they) — made a name for themselves in Melbourne with three-part vocal arrangements.
Born out of an informal collaboration between three friends, the group has shared the stage with King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Alex G, Julia Jacklin and Courtney Barnett.
The band cites a “mutual love for songwriting and sincerity.” The indie-folk trio writes and performs together. Folk Bitch Trio’s music draws on Americana, classic rock and ballads.
The songs address disjointed reveries, breakups, sexual fantasies and media saturation — experiences common to people in their twenties in the 2020s.
Their debut album, Now Would Be A Good Time, was released on the Jagjaguwar label.
