Frànçois & the Atlas Mountains

Frànçois & The Atlas Mountains have been tracing a singular path for years between Bristol and Paris, with nimble, precise pop rich in rhythmic nuances and melodies that gradually take hold. Led by the songwriting and voice of Frànçois Marry, the band blends nervous guitars, muted synth motifs and a francophone sensibility indebted to Dominique A, while drawing on Talking Heads, Arthur Russell and Pierre Bastien for a taste for textures and subtle experimentation. After no fewer than seven albums, the group joined the InFiné label and announced a new album due in early 2025, which extends this mix of handcrafted pop and dance impulses.

On stage, Frànçois & The Atlas Mountains favor collective momentum, flexible arrangements and a dynamic that lets each piece breathe. On March 14, 2026 at Le Silex in Auxerre, the band will present this repertoire—between delicate pulses, clear choruses and minimalist flashes—featuring songwriting that belongs as much to the song form as to oblique grooves. An opening act will kick off the evening.
