Ousanousava

Ousanousava, a prominent band from Réunion Island since the 1980s, will perform on 4 May 2026 at La Maison Bleue in Strasbourg. Born on the island’s stages, the collective recorded a self-titled debut album in 1989 before going on to release a discography of fifteen albums, including Ça mon pays in 2021. For this 2026 tour, the group brings its signature songs back to the fore and revisits its various albums, from maloya and séga to other rhythms of the Indian Ocean.

On stage, eight musicians unfold a wide sound supported by a solid rhythm section, guitars, brass and a violin. Bernard and François Joron lead the vocals and strings, accompanied by Patrick Atide, Laurent Serveaux, Frédéric Tossem, Guillaume Dejean, Alain Chan Yu Hon and Teddy Doris. The arrangements blend Réunion traditions with live energy, with percussion that anchors the groove. The set is conceived as a journey through a musical history that is constantly evolving, true to the band’s mixed cultural identity.
