Goran Bregovic

Goran Bregović, composer and guitarist from Sarajevo, will be at the Colisée Roubaix on March 13, 2026 with his Wedding and Funeral Orchestra. For years he has been shaping a music where Balkan fanfares, Romani rhythms, choirs and rock pulses meet. Bright brass, earthy percussion, voices in counterpoint and electric guitar weave a direct, kinetic language conceived for the stage and for sharing. You can hear the echo of street celebrations as well as processions, melodies that rub against and answer one another, and tempo breaks that sweep you away without warning. At the heart of this concert, Bregović brings together popular traditions and contemporary energy, blending instrumental hymns, choral incantations and refrains that are caught on the fly. A return to the essentials of his world, between swaying trances and emotionally raw ballads, carried by a generously sized orchestra in which every breath and every strike counts.
