On 19 March 2026 at the Elysée Montmartre in Paris, Miki, aka Mikaela Duplay, unfolds a modern, hybrid pop in which an intimate, direct narrative comes together with crisp, nervy productions. She tinkers with everyday images—a horse on the Seine, nerds getting their revenge around a ping‑pong table—and arranges them like improvised static shots captured on the fly, a phone propped on a car behind a Buffalo Grill. This soundtrack, both personal and upfront, moves forward without frills and cultivates striking contrasts. Her first EP, graou, takes its name from the expression she uses when something annoying but not serious happens to her, a wink to the way she turns setbacks into song material. Between a clear voice, taut melodies and electronic textures, Miki continues to expand a universe that speaks to the present, with songwriting that doesn’t overplay and lands just right. En route to a debut album, she hones her angle and contours, ready to open it wide on stage.
