Youn Sun Nah returns to Chambéry on March 26, 2026, at Malraux — Scène nationale Chambéry Savoie. A singer and composer born in Seoul, she has carved out a singular path in jazz for more than two decades, weaving influences from classical music, folk and rock into her writing. She moves forward without artifice, attending carefully to dynamics and sonic colors, with a taste for stripped-down formats.
In 2026 she celebrates 25 years of recorded work and presents a new album. On stage she alternates unreleased material and songs that have marked her career, rearranged in the present. Her voice, supple and precise, shifts from a hushed timbre to more incisive lines, plays with silences, drifts into improvisation and then returns to melody. Altogether, this shapes a set in which every detail matters and where closeness with the audience is part of the music.
