Info
Ousanousava, a group from Réunion formed in the 1980s, has been performing for more than forty years a Creole song tradition nourished by maloya, séga and influences from the Indian Ocean. From the island’s local stages to the national scene, their career was anchored by a self-titled debut album in 1989, followed by a substantial discography—fifteen albums in total, including Ça mon pays in 2021. Through their performances and encounters, Ousanousava has shaped a melodic repertoire rooted in the language and rhythms of Réunion.
On May 11, 2026 at the Centre Culturel Jean Gagnant in Limoges, the ensemble will revisit its emblematic songs and draw from its entire body of work. Led by Bernard and François Joron, the group brings to the stage a lineup of eight musicians in which guitars, bass and drums meet violin, brass and traditional percussion. A musical journey between the sway of maloya, the cadence of séga and blended tonal colors, performed in the present by a collective that nurtures cultural transmission as much as the energy of live performance.
