Les Négresses Vertes, a Parisian ensemble born in the late 1980s around the voice of Helno, blend rock, musette, Latin rhythms and Mediterranean accents. Their sound relies on manouche guitars, accordion, brass and percussion, with crisp lyrics and a collective sense of groove. From Mlah to Zig-Zag, the band has forged a repertoire shaped by the street, travel and a distinctive onstage energy.
On April 10, 2026, at the Espace André Jarlan Rignac, the group ran through its signature songs and revisited its catalogue without falling into frozen nostalgia. You hear Zobi la mouche, Voilà l’été, Sous le soleil de Bodega and other numbers that move from a punk surge to Gypsy-coloured tones without losing momentum. The current arrangements put the rhythm section and a fanfare-like lift forward, with backing vocals, sudden breaks and builds that invite movement.
Les Négresses Vertes remain faithful to their identity—between rough-edged chanson, festive drive and instantly memorable choruses—delivering a concert that tells their story while recontextualizing it on stage.
