Robin Mansanti — trumpet and vocals; Dexter Goldberg — piano; Adam Over — double bass; Jean-Baptiste Pinet — drums.
Trumpeter and vocalist highly active on the Paris jazz scene, Robin Mansanti has been a resident at the Baiser Salé for two years. During this period he has paid homage with sensitivity and passion to Chet Baker. This season, he is accompanied by a carefully chosen rhythm section with Dexter Goldberg on piano (Gene Perla, Jason Marsalis, Steve McCraven, and of course the leader of the Dexter Goldberg Trio), Adam Over on double bass (Donny Kennedy, Gerg Clayton, …) and Jean-Baptiste Pinet on drums (Tony Tixier, Matteo Pastorino).
Very inspired by the music of Chet Baker, Bill Evans, and Art Pepper, he revisits the standards dear to them and also develops his own compositions. Rhythmic and melodic subtleties for music that will move gracefully between tonic swing and romance!
