- SOUTHSONIKS:
Southsoniks produces a powerful yet musical sound inspired not only by Detroit techno but also melodic and electro European music, building in this ways a very own personal touch. His philosophy resumed by two sentences: “music for body and soul” and “per aspera, ad astra”... Early passionate from electronic music, Southsoniks gets rapidly involved in the scene after meeting Dan Corco and Fred Carreira (Jobb) in highschool, themselves being early activists.

While many people involved at that time chose to learn DJing, he will orientate himself to production in 1994. After a long learning period, this way will lead him naturally to Live-Acts in 1996. Then, after finishing his Sound Engineering School, and through this, gained in production quality, he signs on the new coming label Scandium, which will really be the kick of a new production era, after playing 5 years between Switzerland and France and having experimented with Live-Acts in many forms.

At this turning point Southsoniks develops his own and very unique Live-Act concept, which has constantly evolved since. That concept introduced mixing in the Live process, by using two laptops and doubling fx and filters, while controlling a set of synths. By this mean, he was able to propose a very dynamic and highly adaptable concept supported by strong dancefloor orientated productions.

Thanks to the release of many EPs, remixes and one album on Scandium, he was able to play not only in France, his native country, and Switzerland where he lives, but in many clubs and festival across Europe, Spain but also Holland, Germany, Portugal, Grece, Croatia, Tchec Republic, Poland, etc.

In 2004 is a second turning point with the creation of his own label Versus Records, accompanied with his friends Leandro Gamez and Dan Corco, in which they were able to express the synergy of the musical and personal point of views.

In 2013, after a 6 years break, he returns to production and embraces this new production era by producing more variety of styles on different labels. At the end of the year, he will launch "SSK Music" his own Vinyl imprint, and collaborate on the return of a label which marked the french techno scene...

Touche à tout à chacun de ses sets généreux et débordant de passion, il manipule les sons électroniques issus de tous les horizons. Est-ce sans doute pour cette raison que faire entrer sa musique dans une seule case est difficile. Mais, pourquoi l'expliquer avec des mots ? Seule la musique suffit !

A plusieurs reprises, il partagea l'affiche avec des artistes tels Rodriguez Jr., Fabrice Lig, Scan X, Paul Nazca, DJ Tonio, Eric Borgo, Jack De Marseille, Chaotik Ramses, Da Fresh, D'Jamency, Madben, Southsoniks, Square, Kiko, Johan Afterglow, Taho, DJ Unu, Anton X, Jona, Erell Ranson, Analog Chronicles, N'to, Laurent Caligaris, Mr Jack, Nutownproject, Nikkolas Research, David Prap, Normann, Vince Noog, Caroline Duris, Chris Milla & tant d'autres...

Depuis 2011, il enchaîne les soirées dont les feedbacks reçus ont validé ses options artistiques. Son prochain challenge sera le passage du mix vinyles en prestation Live basé sur des samples de l'ensemble de sa production pour en faire des versions plus dansantes... Keep connected !
