Info
On February 18, 2027, Alex Sampson arrives at the Nouveau Casino in Paris to present on stage his raw, intimate acoustic pop. A singer-songwriter from northwestern Ontario, he first drew attention online by posting covers and then his own songs, before forging his path with a highly melodic writing and choruses that linger in the mind. His universe ranges between introspective ballads, romantic impulses and soft melancholy, in an aesthetic akin to North American bedroom pop. In concert, the songs often take a more stripped-down form, focused on the voice, the guitar, and minimalist instrumentation: a direct, unadorned format that puts the words front and center and establishes a real closeness with the audience. An ideal night to discover a repertoire designed for intimacy, yet crafted to be sung together.
