Info
Heatwave are back in town on Friday 29 January 2027 at The Jam House in Birmingham, with a set built for anyone who likes their grooves tight and their choruses sung in unison. Born in London in 1975 around American brothers Johnnie Wilder Jr. and Keith Wilder, the band quickly carved out a sound where funk, R&B, soul and disco all sit in the same pocket: punchy rhythms, slick vocal lines, and melodies that switch from floor-filling momentum to slow-burn ballads without losing the thread.
Expect the live band to lean into the classics that made their reputation on record and on the club circuit, from “Boogie Nights” and “The Groove Line” to “Always and Forever”, along with deeper cuts that show how their writing stretched beyond pure disco. A Heatwave show is about getting the room moving, then locking it in with harmonies and musicianship that still feel sharp decades on.
