Info
On May 1, 2027, The Cinematic Orchestra lands at EartH in London with its signature blend of nu jazz, downtempo and film-score writing. Built around Jason Swinscoe since the late ’90s, the project has always moved between band energy and studio detail: acoustic instruments, electronics and improvisation woven into slow-building pieces that stack textures and tension until they open up.
Expect a set that reflects their long relationship with images and narrative, from the landmark re-scoring of Dziga Vertov’s Man with a Movie Camera to later records that lean into song formats and guest voices, and the more recent, mood-driven work of To Believe. Live, the group shifts shape like a small orchestra, pulling in players from jazz and improvised music, keeping things fluid, cinematic, and deeply atmospheric without losing the pulse.
