Info
On June 4, 2027, Jools Holland brings his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra to Venue Cymru in Llandudno for a night built around the piano, the groove, and a full-band punch. First known as the founding pianist of Squeeze in the late ’70s, Holland has since carved out a solo lane where rhythm and blues meets boogie-woogie, swing, and that big-band energy that keeps everything moving.
Expect his fast, percussive playing up front, with brass and tight arrangements doing the heavy lifting around it: bluesy turns, rock’n’roll drive, and room for the band to stretch without losing the beat. It’s the kind of show that feels less like a recital and more like a rolling set where the orchestra’s collective sound is the star as much as the piano. A chance to catch a UK institution in his natural habitat: onstage, leading the charge.
