Info
Black Marble lands in Copenhagen with their cool, minimalist synth-pop, where cold wave and post-punk sit as a dark backdrop beneath the tight drum machines and the simple, sober melodies. The project began in Brooklyn in 2011 around Chris Stewart, and since the mid-2010s he has carried it forward solo with an expression that is half nocturnal and direct: the vocals often slide back in the mix, while the songs keep the focus on the compact hook and the calm pulse.
For the concert at RUST on April 12, 2027, you can expect tracks that trace threads from the early releases through to the later records, where Black Marble has tuned the balance between synthetic pop, darkwave and a softer edge of post-punk. It is music that doesn’t shout for attention, but works its way in with tempo, mood and details that linger and smolder.
