Info
On April 17, 2027, The Wombats land at O2 Academy Brixton in London with a show built around A Guide To Love, Loss and Desperation, the record that put the Liverpool trio on the map. Expect that tight, jumpy indie rock they do so well: nervous guitars, elastic basslines and choruses that hit fast, with Matthew Murphy’s sharp, wry writing threading through songs about relationships, anxiety and everyday contradictions. It’s the kind of set where early, guitar-driven urgency can flip into more synth-leaning grooves without breaking the flow, keeping things punchy and danceable from start to finish.
Opening the night, Cherryholt bring their own British indie-pop edge, powered by crisp guitars and straight-to-the-point melodies. Coming out of Stamford, their songs lean on clean hooks and a full-band drive that’s made for a packed room, with that tight interplay between guitars, rhythm section and keys. A warm-up that sets the pace before The Wombats take over.
