Info
On October 3, 2027, Herman van Veen will come to Stadthalle Cloppenburg and bring exactly what makes his evenings so exciting: music, stories, and theatre all in one. Since 1966, the Utrecht-born performer has been on stage, moving confidently between chanson, cabaret, musical, and theatrical storytelling. He sings effortlessly in several languages, shifts tone and tempo, plays with wordplay and melancholy, and turns songs into small scenes.
For van Veen, nothing is rigidly scheduled: the program can vary from one evening to the next, because he takes the moment seriously and responds spontaneously. Thus a blend emerges of familiar songs and surprising detours, carried by his distinctive way of telling and performing. A concert that feels more like a lively evening on stage than a classic gig.
