Info
On February 9, 2027, Greg Freeman brings his alt-country songwriting to the Brudenell Social Club in Leeds, with that particular balance between plainspoken stories and guitars that can turn rough around the edges.
Originally from Bethesda, Maryland and now based in Burlington, Vermont, Freeman writes songs that sit between American tradition, folk rock and an indie-rock grit. Live, that mix comes through in the way he shifts from stripped-back moments to fuller, band-driven passages, while keeping the lyrics front and center.
After I Looked Out first landed in 2022 (and reached wider ears with its 2024 reissue), he’s kept pushing the same line rather than reinventing the wheel, tightening the tension between calm delivery and a slightly noisy country-rock backdrop. His 2025 album Burnover leans into a broader sound without losing the direct narrative core, and this Leeds date is a good chance to hear how those songs open up onstage.
