Info
On November 29, 2026, Ash roll into Cyprus Avenue in Cork with the kind of tight, melodic rock they’ve been sharpening since the early 90s. Born in Downpatrick around Tim Wheeler, Mark Hamilton and Rick McMurray, the band built its identity on short, fast songs that sit somewhere between pop-punk punch, indie hooks and power-pop songwriting.
Expect a set that moves through their different eras without losing that direct, energetic core: from the breakthrough years around 1977 to the more expansive stretches that followed, and on to the later run of records that kept them plugged into the British and Irish rock circuit. After decades of touring and sharing stages with bands like Weezer, Ash still play like a three-piece that lives for choruses, tempo shifts and guitars that bite without overcomplicating things.
