Everything Le Parody touches bears its own light. From the very beginning of their musical career, they laid the foundations of their sound: lyrics with a wild poetic charge, interwoven with a sound that has gradually ceded ground to the forcefulness of electronics and that has always been guided by experimentation. To crown it all, a voice that multiplies and shapes itself to become another part of the sonic landscape.
Le Parody’s music carries echoes of a near future in which the borders between Andalusian folk, and Arab or Latin influences have blurred. In its singularity, it can be framed within a scene that is writing the traditional music of the twenty-first century.
Le Parody released their first demo in 2012, and these twelve years in music have yielded numerous concerts, four albums, and multiple intersections with other disciplines. Trilla is their latest EP before Remedios (which will be released in October 2024), the fruit of their collaboration with choreographer Luz Arcas. Before Trilla came Porvenir (2019), an album designed to be listened to with the whole body. Hondo (2015), an intense emotional catharsis, and the debut, Cásala (2014), a non-soundtrack in which their lyrics dialogue with the samples. To that discography, one must add numerous collaborations, singles, and remixes.
Le Parody brings the folklore of the future, hedonistic enough to dance to with force, deep enough for their lyrics and their voice to pierce you.
