Info
On March 5, 2027, Roo Panes brings his quietly intense brand of British folk to The Voodoo Rooms in Edinburgh. Built around acoustic songwriting and that signature 12-string guitar, his live set tends to leave space for the details: measured tempos, restrained vocals, and lyrics that lean inward without getting heavy-handed. Over the years, he’s expanded that intimate core with subtle string arrangements and orchestral touches, landing somewhere between contemporary folk and pared-back chamber pop.
From early releases like Once and Weight of Your World through albums such as Little Giant, Paperweights and Quiet Man, up to The Summer Isles, Roo Panes has kept a steady pace of writing and performing. Expect a night that plays on nuance rather than volume, where melody leads and the songs do the talking.
