Info
On March 18, 2027, Movements land at XOYO Birmingham for a night that taps into the band’s sweet spot: post-hardcore tension, emo revival honesty, and alternative rock hooks that stick without smoothing the edges. Built around airy guitars, measured rhythms and Patrick Miranda’s voice shifting between clear melodies and near-spoken lines, their songs hit that familiar mix of catharsis and control. With records like Feel Something, No Good Left to Give and RUCKUS!, Movements have widened their palette over the years while keeping the same introspective core, turning anxiety, relationships and messy inner monologues into tight, melodic eruptions.
Joining them, Gouge Away bring a sharper, more abrasive charge to Birmingham. The Florida band sits between hardcore punk, post-hardcore and noise rock, powered by compact riffs, sudden tempo turns and Christina Michelle’s commanding vocal presence. From Dies through Burnt Sugar and into Deep Sage, they’ve kept the confrontational energy front and center, with just enough room for slower, heavier passages to land even harder. Together, it’s a bill built for sweat, release, and loud feelings.
