Info
On Monday 12 April 2027, Joy Oladokun lands at Òran Mór in Glasgow for a show built around songwriting first: warm guitar lines, stripped-back grooves, and that way she blends contemporary folk with Americana, pop, and R&B without forcing the seams. Her set tends to move between intimate confession and sharper snapshots of the world around her, where spirituality, queer identity, and everyday questions can sit in the same verse.
Over the years she’s expanded her sound from early releases like Cathedrals and Carry to the wider, more band-ready feel of In Defense of My Own Happiness, then on to Proof of Life and Observations from a Crowded Room, shaped by collaborations across indie and country spaces. Expect a night that shifts naturally from hushed moments to fuller, soul-leaning peaks, always anchored by her voice and the story inside each song.
