On March 13, 2027, MPL lands at Paloma in Nîmes, with its own distinctive way of telling stories through music. Born in 2012 under the name Ma Pauvre Lucette, the collective has built a universe where lyrical song rubs shoulders with hip-hop, pop and electro touches, all carried by a highly choral energy. On stage, they play with contrasts: black humor, intimate narratives, vivid mental images, and a nearly ritualistic staging, as if each track were part of the same narrative. After Ma Pauvre Lucette, L'Étoile (2020) and Bonhommes (2022), MPL extended its journey with En Montgolfière (2024), an acoustic album that lays bare their songs and highlights the writing. In Nîmes, the group can draw from all these periods, between unifying refrains and more spoken passages, with that taste for detail and for characters that give their songs real depth.
