Info
Archive will perform on 8 September 2027 at PHIL in Haarlem, with a set that shifts their characteristic blend of electronics and trip-hop toward a broader post-rock atmosphere. At the heart of Darius Keeler and Danny Griffiths, the London band has been crafting long, cinematic tracks since the 1990s, where beats and synths collide with layered guitars and moods that linger. Anyone who mainly knows Archive from 'Again' (the 16-minute opener from You Look the Same to Me) can expect the same arc of tension here: a slow build, the piling up of details, and then a breakout. Drawing on material from their period of rapid releases in the 2000s and the broad sound of their later work, Archive's live performances mainly demonstrate how flexible their lineup and sonic palette are, without letting go of the dark, pulsating undertow.
