Info
Sparta land in Brighton for a live set at Patterns on 14 October 2026, bringing that El Paso post-hardcore DNA into a sharper, more melodic alternative rock shape. Born from the fallout of At the Drive-In’s split, the band built its own lane on tense, angular guitars, restless rhythms and choruses that hit without sanding off the edges.
Expect a set that moves across eras: early staples from the Austere EP and Wiretap Scars, the darker, more expansive turns of Porcelain and Threes, and the more recent material from Trust the River and the self-titled Sparta album. Since reforming around Jim Ward and Matt Miller and locking back in as a full band with drummer Neil Hennessy, their sound has kept that balance between nervous energy and open guitar textures. On stage, it’s the kind of show where precision and momentum do the talking.
