Info
On March 3, 2027, Hudson Freeman brings his lo-fi folk songs to Ulster Sports Club in Belfast. Raised between the Dallas suburbs and Eswatini in a family of evangelical missionaries, he started writing early to carve out some distance, and that tension still runs through his music: belief and doubt, belonging, anxiety, friendships that wobble, and the need to find your bearings.
Now Brooklyn-based, Freeman works in a deliberately raw, home-recorded grain, somewhere between intimate folk and hushed indie rock. You can hear echoes of Sufjan Stevens, Bon Iver, or Pedro the Lion in the way he keeps things close to the chest, letting small details and quiet melodies do the heavy lifting. From the DIY beginnings of his 2016 EP A Man, One Day to the deeper questions on I AM All the Ages I’ve Ever Been and his 2025 record is a folk artist, this Belfast date promises a set built for listening in, not just listening to.
