Info
On March 6, 2027, Kamelot will perform at SPOT/De Oosterpoort in Groningen with a show that centers on their blend of melodic power metal, symphonic layers and progressive details. Do not expect a loose collection of riffs, but songs that prize build and atmosphere: tight guitar work, orchestral arrangements and choruses that linger, with that recognizable dark, storytelling undertone.
The band set course in the early 1990s in Tampa toward epic heavy metal and grew into more complex compositions. That conceptual side became a trademark, with albums such as Epica and The Black Halo, loosely inspired by Goethe's Faust. Since vocalist Tommy Karevik joined in 2012, Kamelot sounds more modern and streamlined without losing the theatrical, as heard on Silverthorn, Haven, The Shadow Theory and The Awakening. Live, that yields a dynamic set in which melody, drama and precision alternate.
