Info
On February 20, 2027, Romare lands at The Mod Club in Toronto for a night shaped by his very personal way of building electronic music. Behind the name is London producer and DJ Archie Fairhurst, known for stitching together fragments of jazz, blues and soul into club-ready structures that move between slow house, broken beat and downtempo.
If you’ve followed releases like Meditations on Afrocentrism and the Love Songs series, you know his sound works like a montage: samples, warm grooves, and tight rhythms that keep the dancefloor in mind without losing the grit of the source material. With albums such as Projections and Home, he’s pushed further into more melodic atmospheres and a stronger presence of played instruments.
Live, Romare likes to blur the line between DJ set and electronic performance, reshaping his tracks in real time and keeping that constant tension between heritage, texture, and forward-leaning club energy.
