Whitemary, whose real name is Biancamaria Scoccia, is a singer-songwriter and performer from Abruzzo, though raised in Rome. She holds a degree in jazz singing and works as a teacher of music technology. She began her career in jazz before crossing into the world of Italian chanson, ultimately dedicating herself to manipulating samplers and analog synthesizers.
Whitemary is part of Poche, a women’s collective founded by Elasi and Plastica: an open and free space that fosters encounters and highlights the many artists and producers who keep the Italian electronic scene alive.
She drew attention with the EP Alter Boy, the remix of Repito, Ditonellapiaga's track, and her contribution to PLZ's MEGA. In 2022, she released her debut album, Radio Whitemary, on 42 Records.
In 2024, her second album, New Bianchini, also on 42 Records, appeared, marking a new important evolution in her artistic journey.
