On September 29, 2027, at Brudenell Social Club in Leeds, This Is The Kit brings Kate Stables’ songs back to the stage, where her writing really opens up. Born in Winchester and now based in Paris, Stables has built a sound that sits between contemporary folk and indie rock: acoustic strings and banjo at the core, rougher guitars when it needs a push, and rhythms that lean just slightly off-center without ever losing the thread.
This show is also about the band energy she’s shaped over the years. Expect that close-knit, companionable feel her records are known for, carried by Rozi Plain on bass, Jamie Whitby-Coles on drums and Neil Smith on guitar. From quiet, direct lines to sharper turns, it’s music that makes space for the room to breathe, listen and lock in together.
