Fat Dog land at Rock City in Nottingham on December 3, 2026, bringing the kind of live set that made them a word-of-mouth thing long before the records. Born out of London’s lockdown era and fronted by chief instigator Joe Love, the band now hits the stage as an expanded seven-piece, built for momentum: tight synth lines, rave-leaning rhythms, post-punk snap, and those sudden left turns where the saxophone can pull things into something closer to a klezmer rush.
Since breaking through with tracks like “King of the Slugs” and the run of singles that followed, Fat Dog have leaned into a confrontational, dance-punk edge that’s made them stand out on bills with the likes of Yard Act and Viagra Boys. Expect new music, plenty of forward drive, and a show designed to feel more like a moving mass than a polite gig.
