Birds on a Wire is the meeting between Rosemary Standley’s voice (whom we have also encountered with Moriarty) and Dom La Nena’s cello. On March 27, 2027, at Théâtre Les Quinconces in Le Mans, the duo will present Nuées Ardentes, a project that extends their fondness for two‑person covers and reinventions, staying true to the words and melodies.
On stage, everything rests on this voice–cello dialogue, between chamber folk, chanson, pop and echoes of early music. Their playground crosses languages and eras, with titles that could have The Cure, The Doors, Bronski Beat or Barbara respond to one another, without aiming for effect, just the right tension and the right emotion. A concert conceived as an acoustic, intimate and living journey, where the arrangement becomes a writing in its own right.
