Info
On Saturday, January 30, 2027, Derek Ryan brings his “Here & There” tour to the Canal Court Hotel in Newry, with special guests still to be announced. A key name in Irish country, he’s the kind of songwriter who goes straight for the hook: catchy lines, upbeat rhythms, and choruses built for a room that wants to sing back.
On stage, Ryan mixes that easygoing country-and-Irish spirit with pop instincts he’s carried since his early days in the Irish group D-Side. Expect a set that moves between crowd-pleasing classics and newer material, switching from heartfelt ballads to more festive numbers without losing the thread.
What makes this show work is the pace and the connection: songs designed for live energy, moments to slow down, then a quick lift back into dance-floor territory. If you’re into modern Irish country that nods to tradition while staying direct and contemporary, this Newry date is a solid way to catch Derek Ryan in full touring mode.
