Info
On December 5, 2026, Cory Henry brings Cory Henry & The Funk Apostles to Blue Note London with “A Jam Good Time”, a night built for the live moment more than the polished studio take. After his time with Snarky Puppy, the Brooklyn keyboardist and singer shaped this band as a playground where funk, soul and gospel collide with a modern jazz edge, driven by groove first and foremost.
Expect a tight rhythm section locked into deep, repetitive bass lines, big keyboard leads and stacked vocal parts that can flip from church-heat harmonies to crisp R&B phrasing in the same tune. The setlist isn’t treated like a fixed script: songs stretch, shift, and get reworked on the spot, with room for long improvisations and sudden left turns. It’s the same spirit heard on Art of Love, but pushed further onstage, where arrangements keep evolving and the band’s chemistry does the talking.
