Info
Altın Gün lands on October 16, 2026 at the Théâtre National Wallonie-Bruxelles in Brussels with its idiosyncratic mix of Anatolian folk and psychedelic rock, born in Amsterdam and fed by Turkish and Dutch roots. Live it’s about reinventing old Turkish songs from the 60s and 70s: fuzzy guitars, a tight funk-like groove, and keyboards that sometimes push things toward disco, while the Turkish-language vocals and the lines of saz and bağlama anchor the sound. Expect a set that smoothly shifts between energetic, danceable passages and hypnotic sections in which the band takes time to stretch themes and pull them back in. With albums like On, Gece, Yol, Âlem and Aşk in its repertoire, Altın Gün shows how tradition and modern club energy can exist in the same breath, without becoming a museum piece.
