Info
Back in the spotlight with Half-Told Tales, Arab Strap return to what they do best: turning everyday stories into songs that stick. Nearly 30 years after their first single, Aidan Moffat and Malcolm Middleton are still working that tense balance between intimate writing, dry humour, and arrangements that move from slowcore restraint to sharper, more electronic edges.
On new material like “You You You”, they push their signature narrative into a tighter, more rhythmic frame: a pulse that flirts with Italo disco, while Middleton’s guitar cuts and spirals around Moffat’s half-spoken refrains. It’s the same duo you’ve always known, but with a fresh kind of momentum.
On 14 October 2026, at Heaven in London, expect a set that draws a straight line from their early classics to this new chapter: songs about nights out, bad decisions, and the quiet damage that lingers the next day, delivered with that unmistakably Scottish bite.
