The Mouse Outfit bring their Manchester-bred hip hop machine back on the road, landing at The Crescent in York on October 15, 2026. Half production crew, half live band, they’ve built their sound around jazz-tinged boom bap: heavy drums, tight grooves, and that live energy that makes tracks hit different on stage. Depending on the night, they shift formats between DJ/soundsystem sets with MCs and the full eight-piece band, keeping things flexible but always focused on the same raw, DIY spirit.
This show is led by MCs Koj and Ayite, with special guests dropping in along the way. Expect a set that pulls from their run of independent releases, including Escape Music, Step Steadier and Jagged Tooth Crook, and a feel for collaboration that’s been central to the project since day one: a collective vibe, sharp verses, and musicianship that leans as much into the stage as it does into the studio.
