On September 24, 2026, Vundabar and Yot Club meet in Hamburg's St. Pauli station — two US acts that started in indie, but approach it from very different corners.
Vundabar, raised in Boston, plays edgy indie rock with surf and post-punk edges: sharp guitars, nervy rhythms, and Brandon Hagen's distinctive vocals at the center. Live, the material often sounds rougher than on record, with quick shifts between catchy refrains and taut, mounting tension, as one hears across their releases from Antics to Devil for the Fire.
Yot Club is Ryan Kaiser’s project, formed between Mississippi and Nashville. The songs sit between indie pop, bedroom pop, and light rock, with clear, lightly overdriven guitars, repetitive grooves, and a restrained vocal. Tracks like “YKWIM?” have carried the sound far; since Off the Grid, the set tempo has tended to pick up more often, without losing this melancholic, direct atmosphere.
