Info
On February 19, 2027, Pain of Truth land at XOYO Birmingham with the kind of no-frills hardcore built for packed rooms and moving bodies. Coming out of Long Island, the band sits right in that heavy New York continuum: tough-guy urgency, beatdown weight, and groove-driven metalcore crunch, tightened into short, dense songs that leave plenty of space for mosh parts and sudden tempo drops. Fronted by Michael Smith, they’ve been pushing their sound fast since forming in 2020, from their early demo No Blame… Just Facts to the 2023 album Not Through Blood, keeping things physical and direct while slipping in that hip-hop-leaning phrasing that hits like a call-and-response. Expect a set that’s built to be felt as much as heard, with support from Big Boy, Headbussa, and Impunity.
