Nate Amos, the driving force behind This Is Lorelei, heads to the Columbia Theater in Berlin on March 4, 2027 with the 'The Singer in My Band Tour 2027.' After years spent between solo records and his band Water From Your Eyes, Amos consolidates his approach to indie pop, folk pop, and quirky, offbeat art-pop: melodic, direct, yet with arrangements that subtly bend familiar forms.
At the center is the Matador debut, 'The Singer in My Band,' which draws on the Great American Songbook and from there builds its own idiosyncratic songs. Amos largely recorded, produced, and tracked the album himself; only a banjo solo on the title track comes from his father Bob Amos, along with a few vocal parts from his sister Sarah Amos and partner Al Nardo. Live, that means: clear hooks, a keen sense of dynamics, and songs that make songwriting itself the subject—everyday life, chaos, and driving force.
