Medium Build lands at Manchester Academy in Manchester on March 6, 2027, bringing Nicholas Carpenter’s songwriter-first project to a full-room setting. Built around plainspoken storytelling, his songs move between indie rock bite, folk warmth and the occasional country turn, always keeping the voice and the lyric up front.
Started in 2016 after Carpenter relocated to Anchorage, Alaska, Medium Build has grown through a run of independent releases that shaped the project’s direct, diary-like tone, then widened its reach with the Health EP (2023) and the album Country (2024). Onstage, expect that balance: intimate details delivered like conversation, then choruses that open out and push the band energy harder.
