Chris de Burgh returns to Paris on April 30, 2027, at the Salle Pleyel, to reconnect with the audience around what has made his signature: soft, highly melodic pop-rock, carried by an instantly recognizable voice and a genuine flair for storytelling. A singer-songwriter born in 1948, long based in Ireland, he built his career on songs that tell stories, between romantic ballads and folk-tinged accents, a thread that runs through his albums from the 1970s.
On stage, he is expected to foreground the titles that have traversed the decades, from The Lady in Red to High on Emotion, including the major highlights from his flagship albums of the 1980s. A concert conceived as a journey through a long-running repertoire, where the emotion comes mainly from the writing, the melodies, and this very direct way of singing memories.
