The Canadians have long kept to their hallmark: fast, melodic hardcore that doesn't pretend to be anything and hits you from the first beat, and live it gains even more heft. After celebrating the cult Wake the Dead, the band opens another chapter with the album Chosen Hell, where classic tricks mingle with a more modern, heavier-metal edge and moments when melodies take the lead without losing that distinctive edginess. That evening they are joined by three acts that know what hardcore is all about. Haywire adds to their newly English DNA the influences of street punk and Oi! Whispers bring from Bangkok their darker, more metal-tinged version of the genre, and Speedway from Stockholm raise the tempo with melodic hardcore punk and a rock'n'roll nerve. It's a lineup that keeps the show in constant motion from the first track.
