On 17 April 2027, Versengold arrives at the Metropol Theater Bremen with the Night of the Ballads 2027 and deliberately showcases the band's quieter, narrative side. Instead of the forceful folk-rock sound, the emphasis here is on songwriting: lyrics that evoke images in the mind, stories with a Nordic tint, and that characteristic blend of humor, melancholy, and direct tone for which Versengold has been known for years.
The format thrives on the fact that the pieces are not simply slowed down into an unplugged version. Versengold builds its own arrangements, lets melodies breathe, and brings out the fine nuances that often get lost in the big shows. Carried by Malte Hoyer's voice and the band's distinctive timbres, the tour is further expanded: a string quartet, a guest vocalist, and additional percussion provide new layers, warmth, and dynamism—from intimate to expansive—without losing sight of the heart of the songs.
