On September 23, 2026 at XOYO Birmingham, Ezra Collective switch gears for a DJ set celebrating their new album Here Because of Hope. Known as a London jazz-fusion powerhouse, the quintet has always moved fast between scenes and sounds, and this night is a chance to hear those connections laid bare: jazz chops rubbing up against afrobeat, hip-hop, soul, dub and Caribbean heat, with the kind of rhythmic intelligence that made their live shows travel far beyond the UK jazz circuit.
Since early releases like Chapter 7 and Juan Pablo: The Philosopher, and the breakout run from You Can’t Steal My Joy through Mercury Prize-winning Where I’m Meant to Be, Ezra Collective have built a world where grooves come first and genres stay open. Expect a selector-style snapshot of their influences and their present mood, tied to the energy of a release moment rather than a full-length concert.
