The Axel Kaner-Lidstrom Quartet returns to Toulouse Lautrec for a celebration of Miles Davis as part of the Black History Month programme.
Embark on a journey through the defining eras of one of jazz’s most influential and visionary artists. From the spacious, introspective character of Kind of Blue to the improvisation and rhythmic freedom of the Second Great Quintet, this performance traces the evolution of a sound that changed jazz.
Expect compositions, interplay and improvisation as some of London’s young musicians bring Davis’s music to life. Capturing the freedom and creativity at the heart of his work, the quintet pays homage while bringing its own energy and personality to each performance.
